purchased Lectric Play “Sparky” a 2003 Bay Stallion by Lectric Playboy at our Triangle Winter Classic Sale in January 2007 from consignor Bobby Lewis, Overbrook, OK. He took him home, bred one mare, castrated him and turned him out. He got him back up this past April and started riding and roping on him. Hauled him to one big roping at Enid, OK, four small jackpots and headed to the Cinch USTRC National Finals in Oklahoma City, OK in October. He and his partner Matt Carlson were entered in the #10 Gold Plus Shoot-Out. They were the second high team back in the short round and had to be 10.32 to take the lead. They posted a time of 8.46 and were in the number one position. The high team back did not make a qualified run so John Coltharp and Matt Carlson were the winners of $52,500, a 2009 Dodge Ram Truck and a Case IH Farmall Two Wheel Drive Tractor.
